Underfloor Heating
Underfloor heating systems can be more economical to run than a radiator based system. As they demand a
low temperature rise output from the boiler, they are ideally suited to achieving maximum economy from a
condensing boiler or a heat pump. When a boiler attempts to heat up your radiator system, it is under a lot
of pressure until all your radiators are warm, with underfloor heating it is constantly running at a fixed accurate
temperature which does not put pressure on your boiler. The manifold is designed in a way which only takes
heat from the boiler when it goes below a certain centigrade, it circulates the water within the room which
remains warm.
Securing heating in the floor prevents any potential hazards from radiators such as sharp, prtruding edges
and extremely hot surfaces. Contact with radiators at their normal operating temperatures, which can be up to
eighty degree centigrade, can cause deep skin burns within minutes. Underfloor heating is also much cleaner
than radiator systems. It reduces the air circulation within the room, minimising airborne dust particles, and
does not cause dirty walls, which is a common problem with radiators.
